    Admitted to Bar, 1978; joined Mendoza, Palacios, Acedo, Borjas, Páez Pumar & Cía. in 1978. Partner since 1990.

    Specializes in energy and natural resources, corporate governance, commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, project financing and debt restructuring, public law and regulatory matters, telecommunications, capital markets, arbitration, privatizations, among others.

    Has represented clients in dispute resolution and is an arbitrator before CEDCA, Venamcham (affiliated to the AAA).

    Former professor of Partnerl and Political Analysis of Latin America, Universidad Simón Bolívar; Legal Practice III, Evidence and Commercial Law Practice, Universidad Católica Andrés Bello; Civil Procedure, Universidad Central de Venezuela; Advanced Management Program, Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración IESA; and courses for judges, Consejo de la Judicatura.

    Former representative for Venezuela of the International Bar Association and Venezuelan correspondent for the International Arbitration Law Review. Former member of Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce (Capital Markets Committee and Legal Committee), Venezuelan Japanese Chamber and Advisory Board of the World Securities Law Report. Former Legal Counsel for Electricidad de Caracas, C.A.

    Currently, General Counsel for the Latin American Region, with AES Corporation.
