    Admitted to Bar 2003; joined MENPA - Mendoza, Palacios, Acedo, Borjas, Páez Pumar & Cía. in 2002 (until 2009) and in 2017. Partner since 2019.

    Advises clients on banking and finance, corporate governance and compliance, exchange control regulations, M&As, private equity, capital markets, foreign investment, project financing and debt restructuring, life sciences, public law, regulatory matters, and real estate, among others. Has ample experience in public contracts and in working with international organizations. She is also active in pro-bono work. 

    Co-leads the team on international sanctions, as they relate to Venezuelan law.

    Professor of Legal Analysis (2011) and Human Rights Law (2012-2014), at Universidad Metropolitana Law School (UNIMET).

    In 2014, she worked for the Human Rights Unit of UNIMET jointly with the Human Rights Center of Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), regarding protection of human rights; and acted as consultant on human rights for UCAB.

    In 2015 and 2016, she worked for The Coca-Cola Company, acting as Legal Counsel for Venezuela and the Caribbean, assisting the different business areas in corporate governance, civil law, commercial law, labor law, regulatory issues, M&A, marketing and publicity, social media, exchange controls regulations, intellectual property, and ethics and compliance matters; as well as negotiating legal issues with suppliers, clients and partners.

    In 2017, she returned to MENPA as Junior Partner, continuing to work on the aforementioned areas, as well as in pro-bono work.

    From 2018 to 2020, she was Professor of Corporate Law Topics at UNIMET

    Between 2020 and 2022, she was Legal Advisor for the United Nations Office for Project Services, assisting such international organization on different areas of public international law (including the privileges and immunities of the United Nations, as well as host country agreements), international commercial contracts, public procurement and solicitation processes, financing from international organizations, and dispute resolution (including negotiations and international arbitration), among other.

    Since 2017, Member of the Legal Affairs Committee (Comité de Asuntos Legales) of the Venezuelan American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Venamcham), and President of this Committee since 2023.

    Since 2022, Member of the Energy Committee of the National Council for Investment Promotion (CONAPRI).

    Since 2022, Alternate Director of Banco Nacional de Crédito, Banco Universal (BNC)

    Since 2023, Arbitrator at Centro Empresarial de Conciliación y Arbitraje (CEDCA, an affiliate of the American Arbitration Association).

    Since 2023, Member of the Board of Directors of the Venezuelan Association of Private Capital (Venecapital).

    Author of articles on exchange controls regulations, finance, capital markets and cryptocurrencies.
